Why?
Dr. Love is a method that provides a simple tool for making a quick selection of ideas based on the student’s intuitive attachment. Through this method, each student gets a chance to act upon his or her own intuition, and to work with an idea that really motivates him or her.
How?
After a brainstorming session, the students will often have a large number of ideas. Thus, in order to make a quick selection of ideas, each student simply chooses the idea that he or she, instantly, feels most attracted to.
Tips
When confronted with many ideas, people have a tendency to choose the ideas that they find more feasible and safe. The teacher should encourage the students to avoid this kind of safe play – often termed the creadox – as the students risk missing out on their most innovative ideas. The teacher can for instance introduce a smaller exercise or energizer to warm up the students’ creativeness like Creative movie or Visual intelligence.
